Position Overview:
As a Product Manager for Point of Sale (POS) at [Fintech Company Name], you will be responsible for driving the development, strategy, and execution of our POS product offerings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, middleware ,design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to deliver innovative and user-friendly POS solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our POS products align with the company’s overall vision and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy and Roadmap:
– Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for POS solutions.
– Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on market research, customer feedback, and business objectives/requirements.
– Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that aligns with company goals and timelines.
2. Market Research and Analysis:
– Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
– Analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions about product direction and improvements.
– Gather and prioritize customer feedback to ensure the product meets user requirements and provides a superior experience.
3. Product Development:
– Collaborate with development , testing, devops and design teams to develop and launch new POS features and products.
– Write detailed business requirements documents (BRDs) and user stories.
– Manage the product development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration:
– Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
– Partner with customer support to address customer issues and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
– Coordinate with compliance and legal teams to ensure products meet regulatory requirements.
5. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
– Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
– Conduct A/B testing and data analysis to optimize product features and user experience.
– Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the product remains competitive and innovative.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
– 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably within the fintech or payments industry.
– Strong understanding of POS systems, payment processing, and fintech trends.
– Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from concept to launch.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
– Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques.
