Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to –

• Working directly with company leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze professional tax services data requirements and select optimal DBMS for the company’s proprietary middleware platform. 
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s database architecture, ensuring data security, integrity, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Position Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade database solutions using platforms such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Server and Power BI etc.
• 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade database solutions involving one or more of the leading advanced tax prep software packages (e.g. CCH Axcess, ProSystems, GoSystems, Lacerte).
• Knowledge of and experience with data security and compliance standards applicable to the professional tax services industry (e.g. IRS Publications 4557/1075, GLBA, GDPR, PCI etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience working for a small company with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Self-motivated, extremely detail oriented and analytical
• Ability to convey highly technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders
